What engine is used in the Damei X5?

Damei X5 is currently equipped with two types of engines, namely the JT1.5T turbocharged engine and the JT16N naturally aspirated engine. JT16N engine: The JT16N naturally aspirated engine is the latest economical version for the Damei X5, with a maximum output power of 85 kW and a combined fuel consumption of 7.3 liters per 100 km for new vehicles. It meets the needs of economical car owners for an SUV. JT1.5T engine: The JT1.5T engine has a maximum output power of 110 kW and a maximum torque of 195 Nm. Based on the original Mitsubishi 4A91T engine technology and Shenfei's own technical improvements, it is relatively mature in technology, ensuring stable engine performance, strong reliability, and high energy efficiency.
I had a deep impression when researching this car. The Damei X5 series all used the Mitsubishi technology-based 1.5T turbocharged engine, codenamed SFG15. This engine delivers a maximum horsepower of 150 hp and a peak torque of 195 N·m, which is sufficient for a compact SUV. During my test drive, I noticed that the low-end torque was quite solid, and overtaking wasn't difficult once the turbo kicked in around 2000 rpm. However, engine noise became noticeably audible in the cabin at high revs. Later, when chatting with mechanics, they mentioned that this engine has a mature structure, but the spark plugs and ignition coils are prone to minor issues.
As an owner for over six years, my manual transmission Damai X5 is equipped with the SFG15 engine. When climbing mountain roads, I need to rev it above 2,500 RPM to feel the power, but it's sufficient for city driving. The maintenance manual recommends 92-octane fuel, but I insist on using 95-octane for more stable power response. Last year, I spent 1,200 yuan replacing the timing belt, and the engine mount rubber had also been replaced due to aging. One complaint is that the turbo intake pipe tends to leak air, so I bought clamps to reinforce it myself.
