The Maxus G10 is equipped with a D19 diesel engine. Engines are categorized into diesel engines, gasoline engines, electric vehicle motors, and hybrid motors. Taking the Maxus G10 2021 Manual Deluxe Edition as an example, its body structure is a 4-door 7-seater MPV, with dimensions of 5168mm in length, 1980mm in width, and 1928mm in height, a wheelbase of 3198mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 75 liters. The Maxus G10 2021 Manual Deluxe Edition is powered by a 2.0T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 224 and a maximum power of 165 kW. It adopts a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, with a front suspension using MacPherson independent suspension and a rear suspension using a five-link non-independent suspension.

I've been using the G10 for cargo transportation for three years, and this vehicle's engine configuration is very practical. The most common option is the 2.0T turbocharged gasoline engine with a maximum horsepower of 224, which handles climbing slopes even with seven passengers effortlessly. There's also a 1.9T diesel version available, which is fuel-efficient but a bit noisier. The older models used a 2.4L naturally aspirated engine, which is rarely seen now. It's advisable not to skimp on fuel quality; turbocharged engines have higher requirements for fuel, and using low-quality gas from small stations for a long time can easily trigger the malfunction indicator light. If you're buying a used G10, remember to listen for any metal knocking sounds during cold starts, as repairing a damaged turbocharger can be quite expensive.

Last year, I helped the fleet select five G10 vans, all diesel versions equipped with a 1.9T engine. The high-pressure common rail technology is quite mature. When carrying two tons of cargo on the highway, the fuel consumption is less than 9 liters per 100 kilometers, and the maintenance cycle only requires an oil change every 10,000 kilometers. It's important to note that the diesel filter must be an original part, as aftermarket filters lack sufficient filtration precision and can damage the fuel injectors. The engine compartment layout is relatively tidy, making it easy to replace the air filter yourself. The turbocharger pipe connections are prone to oil seepage, so remember to have the mechanic check them carefully during maintenance.

From a technical perspective, the G10 primarily features SAIC's π-series 2.0T Blue Core engine. The stratified combustion technology contributes to decent fuel consumption control, averaging around 10L/100km. Paired with a ZF 6AT transmission, gear shifts are smooth, though downshifts are slightly sluggish during aggressive driving. The new model also introduces a 48V mild hybrid version, making start-stop operations quieter. Engine mounts are replacement items every 3-5 years, as idle vibrations become noticeable when the rubber deteriorates. The aluminum alloy cylinder block ensures rapid heat dissipation, but during cold winter starts, it's advisable to wait until the RPM drops to 1000 before driving.
