What engine does the DS4S use?

The DS4S is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 167 HP, a peak power output of 123 kW, and a maximum torque of 240 Nm. This small-displacement turbocharged engine ensures dynamic performance while further enhancing fuel efficiency, resulting in reduced fuel consumption. The DS4S is a compact car with dimensions of 4435 mm in length, 1843 mm in width, and 1510 mm in height, featuring a wheelbase of 2715 mm. Higher trim models also come with PSA Group's ADAS intelligent driving assistance system, integrating features such as lane departure warning, driver attention alert, road speed limit information display, autonomous emergency braking system, adaptive cruise control, and intelligent high-beam switching.
I'm a DS4S owner. The models sold in the domestic market were equipped with three engine options. The entry-level is the 1.2T EP6CDTM with 130 horsepower. The mainstay is the 1.6T THP160 (EP6FDTM), delivering 167 horsepower. The top variant features a higher-output 1.6T THP200. Mine is the THP160, which shares its roots with MINI's engine. It has noticeable turbo lag at low RPMs, but the explosive power is truly impressive. A heads-up for fellow owners: after 100,000 kilometers, pay special attention to the throttle body and high-pressure fuel pump—these are common trouble spots. If you experience cold start vibrations, don't panic immediately; it's likely due to aging engine mounts.
