Changan Ruicheng CC uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which is the only engine option available for the entire lineup. This engine is equipped with VVT technology and features an aluminum alloy cylinder head and block. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The front suspension of the vehicle employs a MacPherson independent suspension, while the rear suspension uses a multi-link independent suspension. The Changan Ruicheng CC is the renamed and upgraded version of the Changan Raeton CC, serving as a long-wheelbase intelligent mid-size sedan. Its body dimensions are 4800mm in length, 1825mm in width, and 1465mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2770mm.
I've driven the Changan Raeton CC many times, and it's equipped with Changan's self-developed Blue Core NE 1.5T turbocharged engine. This engine is quite impressive, featuring 350bar high-pressure direct injection technology, delivering a maximum power of 138kW and a peak torque of 300N·m, with strong power output even at low RPMs. What amazed me the most is its thermal efficiency of up to 40%. Paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, the car accelerates very smoothly. During a recent highway drive, I noticed the turbo kicks in at around 1,500 RPM, making overtaking effortless. The fuel consumption is also decent, averaging about 7.8L/100km in urban mixed conditions. The overall tuning leans towards comfort, and the engine noise control during rapid acceleration is even better than some joint-venture cars in the same price range.
As an enthusiast who frequently researches domestic cars, the engine of the Ruicheng CC really surprised me. It uses the Blue Whale series 1.5T engine, a powertrain that has already proven its reliability in the Yidong PLUS. The core highlight is its modular design, with a shared parts rate of 98%, making maintenance components exceptionally easy to find. Once, when I visited a 4S shop to observe their maintenance work, the mechanic mentioned how easy it is to disassemble and reassemble this engine, with the spark plugs positioned very conveniently. In actual driving, the power delivery feels very linear, especially in the golden rpm range of 2000-4000 where it feels particularly robust. The chassis and engine are well-matched, ensuring smooth power transitions without any jerks when going over speed bumps.
