Changan Oshan Kosai is equipped with a 1.5T Blue Whale engine, delivering a maximum power of 107 horsepower and peak torque of 145 N·m. The transmission system is paired with either a 5MT or 5DCT gearbox. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the Changan Oshan Kosai measures 4830mm in length, 1868mm in width, and 1775mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2800mm. In terms of exterior design, the vehicle features a unique gradient purple body color, a 'Starry Sea' front grille design, and angular headlights inspired by warship wing shapes. The interior adopts a royal blue color scheme with soft material wrapping and European-style double stitching craftsmanship.

This car is most famous for its 1.5T BlueCore NE engine, which boasts an exceptionally high thermal efficiency of 40%. I've previously disassembled engines from the same series—it utilizes twin-scroll turbo technology to reduce turbo lag, with the water-cooled intercooler directly integrated into the intake manifold, delivering particularly rapid response. While the 132kW maximum power output might seem ordinary, its 300N·m peak torque kicks in as early as 1,250 rpm, providing noticeable acceleration push during traffic light starts. Changan has specially tuned the NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), making the engine significantly quieter than competitors at highway speeds, though it gets slightly rough at high RPMs.

The Kosai primarily uses Changan's in-house Blue Whale 1.5T engine, which delivers ample power and excellent fuel efficiency for city driving. Just last week, I accompanied a friend for a test drive – even fully loaded with five passengers, it didn't struggle on uphill climbs. The salesperson mentioned the new version added direct fuel injection technology, reducing fuel consumption by about 15% compared to the previous model. However, do note that the 2.0T version is basically unavailable now, with only hybrid models in the showroom. I'd recommend the new PHEV plug-in hybrid – it can cover over 100km on pure electric mode, and the engine charges the battery when running on fuel.

The main engine is the JL476ZQCF model, a 1.5T four-cylinder from Changan's self-developed Blue Whale powertrain. The most impressive feature is the dual-outlet integrated exhaust manifold design, which allows the water temperature to rise particularly quickly in winter. With 178 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque, the performance is adequate for a seven-seater, and the key is the exceptionally smooth Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission. I've driven long distances in Xinjiang, and at 4000 rpm, the power reserve is more sufficient than expected, though the engine sound starts to get muffled.
