Changan CS85 is equipped with the Blue Whale engine independently developed by Changan Automobile. This engine is developed based on the Mitsubishi engine. In terms of engine tuning, Changan Automobile has made modifications and adjusted the engine's torque parameters to the maximum. In terms of actual dynamic driving, the performance of this engine is quite good. Changan CS85 has launched two power models, namely the 1.5T model and the 2.0T model. The body dimensions are 4720mm in length, 1845mm in width, and 1665mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2705mm.
I find the Changan CS85 quite appealing, with its engine being the most impressive feature—it utilizes the 1.5T Blue Whale powertrain series, delivering very direct power response and smooth acceleration. In daily driving, this engine paired with an 8AT transmission offers good smoothness and fuel efficiency, achieving around 7-8 liters per 100 km in city driving and even better on highways. I’ve driven my friend’s CS85 and felt strong acceleration push during overtaking. Overall, it’s well-suited for young families seeking dynamic performance.
