What engine does GAC Trumpchi use?

GAC Trumpchi's engine is independently developed in China. The first batch of Trumpchi engines were imported from Italy, equipped with the 2.0-liter twin-spark engine provided by the Italian Fiat brand, and later produced by GAC's engine factory. The first production models were equipped with GAC's independently developed 2.0L inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated direct injection gasoline engine, which is independently developed. After introducing the 1.8TS engine, GAC Trumpchi upgraded the original twin-spark system, redesigned the cylinder head and ignition system, and improved emissions and VVT control.
