Geely Boyue uses a 1.8T turbocharged direct injection engine, a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, and a 6-speed automatic transmission, as well as an Australian DSI 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.8T engine has a maximum power of 135kw and a maximum torque of 285Nm. The Geely Boyue is a compact SUV launched by Geely Auto, with dimensions of 4519mm in length, 1831mm in width, and 1694mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2670mm. The vehicle is also equipped with a 7-inch full LCD 3D dynamic combination instrument panel, a NAPPA luxury leather multifunction steering wheel, an EPB electronic parking brake system, and an AUTOHOLD automatic parking system.
I've been driving the Boyue for two years, and its 1.8T engine paired with a 6AT transmission is truly reliable. Although some say the fuel consumption in the city can reach 9-10 liters per 100 kilometers, it's generally around 7 liters on the highway. The initial power response is slightly delayed, but once the turbo kicks in, overtaking becomes very smooth. When picking up and dropping off my kids at school, even in traffic jams, the gear shifts are almost imperceptible, much smoother than the dual-clutch transmission I drove before. Recently, I noticed the new model comes with a 1.5T engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is more fuel-efficient but you can feel the gear shift gaps during acceleration—depends on personal preference. Engine maintenance is quite hassle-free; using full synthetic oil, it only needs changing every 10,000 kilometers, costing just over 400 yuan each time.
