What does WDR mean on a dash cam?
1 Answers
WDR on a dash cam refers to Wide Dynamic Range mode. When the dash cam is in this mode, it can capture a wider viewing angle and also record darker areas. Dash cams are mainly divided into two categories: portable dash cams and aftermarket in-dash DVD integrated dash cams. Portable dash cams can be further classified into rearview mirror dash cams and data dash cams, which feature good concealment, easy installation, detachable replacement, and simple operation. Aftermarket in-dash DVD integrated dash cams are mostly vehicle-specific and can be divided into pre-installed and after-installed types. Installing this type of dash cam involves greater modification difficulty.
