What does VSC mean in a vehicle?

Vehicle VSC refers to Toyota's Vehicle Stability Control system malfunction indicator. When the driver makes improper maneuvers or encounters abnormal road conditions, such as sudden turns, acceleration, or braking, the vehicle can quickly detect these situations and take appropriate braking measures, while alerting the driver with a warning light. This enhances the vehicle's handling safety and driving convenience. The VSC system actively regulates the engine throttle to adjust engine speed and modulates the driving and braking forces on each wheel to correct oversteer or understeer. When sensors detect vehicle skidding, the system automatically controls the braking of each wheel and engine power.
