What does vehicle normal mean?

Vehicle normal is a driving mode, which is the standard driving mode. The normal mode achieves a better balance between fuel economy, quietness, and power performance, making it suitable for urban driving. SPORT mode controls the transmission and engine to achieve quick or strong acceleration. Other driving modes on the car include ECO mode, which helps the driver accelerate in an environmentally friendly way and improves fuel economy through moderate throttle characteristics and control of the air conditioning system. When the eco mode is selected, the ECO MODE indicator on the multi-information display will light up. When the air conditioning is in use, the system automatically switches to the air conditioning eco mode for better fuel economy.
I've been driving for several years and know that Normal mode is the standard driving setting for most vehicles, meaning the car operates in its factory-balanced state, neither favoring performance nor fuel efficiency, making it particularly suitable for daily commuting or long-distance travel. Driving in this mode, the engine responds moderately, the transmission shifts smoothly, and fuel consumption remains at an average level—unlike Sport mode, which guzzles fuel with aggressive acceleration, or Eco mode, which feels sluggish. The dashboard displays 'Normal,' indicating all systems are functioning properly without any fault alerts, giving me peace of mind. Using this mode long-term also reduces engine wear and protects the vehicle's lifespan, making it quite practical. Especially in traffic jams or rainy conditions, Normal mode provides stable traction, preventing dangerous tire slippage, which is a huge relief.
