Vehicle inspection refers to the annual inspection of vehicles. For motor vehicles registered and driven on public roads, regular safety technical inspections should be conducted according to laws, administrative regulations, and different circumstances such as vehicle purpose, passenger/cargo capacity, and service life. Engine inspection: Check whether the engine, chassis, body and their accessories are clean, complete and effective, whether the paint surface is uniform and aesthetically pleasing, whether major assemblies have been replaced, and whether they match the initial inspection records. Vehicle braking performance test: Test whether the vehicle's braking performance, steering control, lighting, exhaust and other safety performance meet the requirements of "Technical Conditions for Safe Operation of Motor Vehicles".

As an elderly driver, I see vehicle inspection as an annual health check for cars to ensure they're safe on the road. Last year during inspection, they thoroughly checked the brakes, lights, and exhaust emissions, and discovered some wear on my tires. Getting them replaced promptly prevented potential accidents. Vehicle inspection isn't just about following traffic rules—it's about protecting yourself and others. Imagine the consequences if your brakes failed or lights didn't work while driving. Now, after each inspection, I feel more at ease behind the wheel. I recommend not procrastinating and booking an appointment at the testing station in advance to save time and money. Additionally, some places also inspect the engine to reduce pollution, which benefits the environment.

I usually drive to commute, and the vehicle inspection seems like a routine task to me, but it's quite important. They mainly test the basic safety items of the car, such as brake performance, whether the tire tread depth meets the standard, and whether the exhaust emissions exceed the limit. If all these pass, they issue a certificate. If you don't get the inspection, the traffic police can fine you hundreds of yuan, and in severe cases, the car may even be towed away, which is totally not worth it. Once, I failed the inspection due to lighting issues and had to spend a long time fixing it before passing. Since then, I've learned to clean the car in advance and check for minor issues. Although the inspection is a bit troublesome, it prevents many accident risks. I recommend new drivers familiarize themselves with the process early on.

I don't have much driving experience, but I understand that vehicle inspection is the official comprehensive safety check process for vehicles, including testing whether the brakes, lights, exhaust system, etc. are functioning properly. This helps prevent breakdowns on the road, such as brake failure or tire blowouts. There are mandatory national regulations requiring periodic inspections, otherwise you may face penalties. As an ordinary car owner, I think spending some time on vehicle inspection is worthwhile—safety comes first.
