What does trcoff mean on a car?

Trcoff on a car stands for Traction Control System Off. The function of the traction control system is to improve the vehicle's passability. When ABS detects that the wheels are slipping, the traction control system will apply braking to the slipping wheels, thereby preventing the loss of traction on those wheels. The working principle of the traction control system is to replace the mechanical connection between the accelerator pedal and the throttle with an electronic throttle control device. The ECU receives the accelerator pedal information transmitted by the sensors and then generates a control voltage signal based on the signal. The motor then adjusts the throttle according to the voltage signal, thereby reducing the throttle opening and controlling wheel slip.
That day while driving, I suddenly noticed the TRC OFF light was on, and I was confused at first. Later, I checked the manual and realized it meant the traction control system was turned off. There's a button with a skidding car icon in the car, and accidentally pressing it can deactivate this anti-skid system. Nowadays, new cars come equipped with this feature, which automatically helps stabilize the vehicle in rainy conditions to prevent skidding or fishtailing. It's especially useful if you frequently drive in snowy areas. However, sometimes when off-roading or stuck in mud, you need to manually turn it off to get unstuck. Remember, when the TRC OFF light is on the dashboard, it's best not to drive too fast.
