Volkswagen's sync button is the synchronization button for the dual-zone automatic air conditioning. When the button light is on, the temperature of the air vents on both sides of the car is the same and adjusts synchronously, meaning that when you adjust the temperature on one side, both air vents will actually have the same temperature. When the air conditioning is turned on, simply setting different temperatures on both sides will automatically turn off the sync function.
