What does the TC indicator on the car dashboard mean?

The TC indicator on the car dashboard indicates that the traction control system is turned off or malfunctioning. The traction control system can improve the vehicle's passability. When the anti-lock braking system detects wheel slippage, it applies braking to the slipping wheel to prevent loss of traction, thereby enhancing the vehicle's acceleration and climbing ability. Possible causes for the TC warning light: 1. Solenoid valve failure; 2. Dirty engine oil clogging the solenoid valve filter; 3. Wear of actuator gears and impellers causing oil pressure leakage and triggering the warning; 4. Dirty throttle body with opening reaching 20%, leading the engine control unit to mistakenly diagnose a TC fault.
