Axis is one of the main components in machinery. Generally a metal round rod, wheels and other rotating parts revolve around it or rotate with it. Introduction to wheelbase: Wheelbase is the horizontal distance between the center lines of axles on a locomotive or vehicle. It is divided into: rigid wheelbase, bogie wheelbase and total wheelbase. Rigid wheelbase refers to the horizontal distance between the center lines of the front and rear axles within the main frame of a frame-type locomotive. Wheelbase should not be too long: To facilitate passing through curves, the rigid wheelbase should not be too long. Bogie wheelbase refers to the distance between the center lines of the two axles at both ends of a bogie. Total wheelbase refers to the horizontal distance between the center lines of the front and rear axles of a locomotive; rigid wheelbase is the distance from the foremost axle to the rearmost axle that remains parallel during train operation. If the rigid wheelbase is too long, it will increase pressure on the tracks when turning, and may even cause derailment.

I used to be quite into cars. The axle is essentially that sturdy metal rod connected to the car's wheels, responsible for driving their rotation. In a vehicle, it acts as an intermediary component that bears weight and transmits power—engine force is transferred through the transmission to the axle, which then drives the wheels. Without it, the car wouldn't move. In regular sedans, axles are made of rigid steel or alloy, thick and robust, while off-road vehicles feature even sturdier axles. I've driven on mountain roads with axle issues, and the car vibrated intensely. Regular maintenance, like frequent bearing lubrication, helps prevent wear. A good axle ensures smooth driving, low noise, and high safety performance, whereas a damaged one requires costly repairs. During routine tire pressure checks, tap the axle and listen for unusual sounds to confirm no cracks. Proper maintenance can extend its lifespan to eight or nine years.

How to Cancel the Mirror Linkage Function?

To cancel the mirror linkage function: 1. Shift the gear lever to R position and long press the SET button on the driver's seat; 2. Wait until you hear two beeps, indicating that the mirror linkage function for reversing has been turned off. The mirror linkage function allows the passenger-side exterior mirror to automatically adjust to the stored position suitable for reversing when the vehicle is in reverse. To reset the mirror linkage function: 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON mode; 2. Shift into R gear; 3. Adjust the passenger-side exterior mirror to a position suitable for reversing; 4. Long press the numbered memory button on the driver's seat until you hear a beep, indicating that the reversing linkage position has been successfully stored.

What are the precautions for novice drivers on the road?

Precautions for novice drivers on the road are: 1. Try to drive in the middle lane. When there is no median barrier, driving in the middle lane provides time to react in case of an unexpected situation with oncoming traffic, avoiding a head-on collision. 2. Slow down and check carefully when turning. Develop the habit of slowing down significantly when turning (especially at intersections with bicycle lanes or pedestrian crossings) and always observe the conditions of the bicycle lane and pedestrian crossing. 3. Slow down and look both ways at intersections. Cultivate the habit of looking left and right (while slowing down) when crossing an intersection, regardless of whether there is a traffic light or if your lane has a green light. 4. Maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. Develop the habit of keeping a sufficient distance between your car and the one in front when driving outside the city. 5. Check the rearview mirror before braking suddenly. Form the habit of observing the situation of vehicles behind you through the rearview mirror when slowing down at a red light.

What are the causes of vehicle vibration at high speeds?

Car body vibration at high speeds can be caused by the following reasons: 1. Inaccurate front wheel alignment angle, excessive toe-in; 2. Low front tire pressure or imbalance caused by repairs or other reasons; 3. Deformation of front wheel rims or unequal number of tire bolts; 4. Loose installation of transmission system components; 5. Bent drive shaft, dynamic imbalance, or deformation of the front axle; 6. Failed shock absorbers, inconsistent stiffness of front leaf springs, or frame deformation. Below are the solutions for car body vibration at high speeds: 1. First, lift the drive axle, place safety blocks in front of the front wheels, start the engine, and gradually shift to higher gears to reach the final test vibration speed of the drive wheels. If both the car body and steering wheel vibrate at this point, the vibration is caused by the transmission system, as the front wheels and axle are stationary at this time. If the car does not vibrate at the final test vibration speed, the issue lies with the front axle. 2. Check if the front wheel alignment angles and toe-in meet the requirements and adjust them if necessary; 3. Lift the front axle and test the wheels, checking for static balance and excessive tire deformation. If needed, replace with a good wheel for comparison; 4. Inspect the front axle and frame for deformation, and check if the drive shaft is bent. Perform a dynamic balance test on the drive shaft if possible; 5. Check the stiffness of the front leaf springs, the effectiveness of the shock absorbers, and whether the spring bracket rivets are loose. Replace if performance is inadequate; 6. Inspect the chassis for looseness and check if the ball joints are worn out.

Which company's engine is used in the GAC Trumpchi GS4?

GAC Trumpchi GS4 is equipped with two different displacement engines. The 1.5L model uses GAC's self-developed 1.5L turbocharged engine, while the other is the latest 200T engine. More information about GAC Trumpchi GS4 engines is as follows: 1. The 1.5L turbocharged engine features dual variable valve timing (intake and exhaust), variable oil pump, silent timing chain, dual-mass flywheel, and GAC's proprietary GCCS (Gasoline-Combustion-Control-System) combustion chamber control technology. Technically speaking, it has reached mainstream domestic standards. 2. The latest 200T engine is a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with peak torque reaching 202 N·m. It's precisely because its torque approximates 200 N·m that GAC gave it the resounding name "200T".
