What does the oil can dripping oil icon on the dashboard mean?

The oil can dripping oil icon on the dashboard is the engine oil pressure warning light. When this symbol appears, it indicates abnormal engine oil pressure or insufficient oil level in the engine. If this occurs, you should check whether there is sufficient engine oil in the vehicle. Hazards of insufficient engine oil: Friction between bearings and journals may worsen due to insufficient lubrication caused by low oil levels, accelerating wear and even leading to bearing seizure. Precautions for adding engine oil: Engine oil should not be too low, nor should it be overfilled. When adding oil, ensure the oil level is between the min and max marks on the engine dipstick. The oil mark should be between the upper and lower lines, preferably slightly above the middle. If the oil level exceeds the max mark, it can increase engine resistance, potentially damage the catalytic converter, and affect performance due to improper oil viscosity. Avoid overfilling; if excess oil is accidentally added, it should be drained.
