What does the lock on an off-road vehicle mean?

Off-road vehicle lock refers to the differential lock. The following are introductions to three types of differential locks: 1. Central differential lock: It can make the front and rear wheels rotate at the same speed when the wheels slip, but this is limited to minor road conditions. In cases of cross-axle or artillery shell pits, the central differential lock is not very effective. 2. Rear axle differential lock: It can make the rear wheels rotate at the same speed as the front axle. Specifically, when an off-road vehicle is driving on a cross-axle or artillery shell pit and only one wheel has traction while the other is suspended, the vehicle still has sufficient power to move forward. This lock is therefore called the soul of an off-road vehicle. 3. Front axle differential lock: When one side of the vehicle is suspended, the front axle differential lock can ensure that all wheels receive the same power, hence it is referred to as the life-saving component of an off-road vehicle.
