What does the lightning fault light mean?

The lightning fault light is the electronic throttle warning light. The electronic throttle is an important control component of the car engine, composed of the engine, speed sensor, throttle, etc. The use of an electronic throttle control system allows precise control of the throttle opening. Electronic throttle principle: The principle of the throttle is that the traditional engine throttle operating mechanism works through a cable (soft steel wire) or rod, with one end connected to the accelerator pedal and the other end connected to the throttle linkage plate. The electronic throttle mainly uses the throttle position sensor to control the throttle opening angle according to the energy required by the engine, thereby regulating the amount of air intake. Solutions for throttle faults: Troubleshoot the intake system, use fuel that meets standards, clean the throttle body; remove carbon deposits from related parts; rewrite the ECU-related data. When the throttle indicator light is found to be on, you can first try to turn off and restart the engine to see if the throttle light is still on. If it is not on, it means there is no problem, and it is just a false alarm caused by the EPC light being affected.
I've seen this lightning-shaped warning light come on several times while driving. It's actually a signal indicating an issue with the charging system. The icon looks like a lightning bolt. It means the alternator isn't working properly, and the battery will soon run out of power, causing the car to suddenly stall, which is quite dangerous. Common causes include alternator failure, loose or broken belts, or an aging battery. I remember once ignoring it and ended up stranded on the road, having to call a tow truck and wasting money. My advice is to turn off power-consuming devices like the AC and radio as soon as you see the light, then find a nearby repair shop for a check-up. They usually measure whether the alternator's output voltage is sufficient, and if parts need replacing, do it early. During regular maintenance, check for cracks in the belt to prevent this issue. Road safety is no trivial matter when driving; it's something you can't afford to delay.
