What does the Lavida set button mean?

Lavida's set button is a speed setting switch that can store the current vehicle speed and automatically maintain this speed. When speed control is not needed, simply stepping on the brake pedal will immediately stop the speed setting function, but the speed information continues to be stored. To resume speed control, pressing the resume switch will restore the previously stored speed, allowing the car to continue driving at that speed. The Lavida is the first independently developed A-class car by Shanghai Volkswagen. This car measures 4605 mm in length, 1765 mm in width, and 1460 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2610 mm. The Lavida's in-car navigation system combines touch screen and rotary knob controls, and includes MP3 playback capability, supporting USB, AUX, and SD card expansion slots. It is easy to use with powerful functionality, and the LCD screen features a foldable design.
The SET button on the lower right corner of the Lavida's steering wheel primarily controls the cruise control function. For example, when driving at 100 km/h on the highway, first press the cruise control switch and then the SET button, and the car will automatically lock the current speed. The system automatically deactivates when braking to decelerate, and you can resume by simply pressing the RES button. This feature is especially useful for long-distance driving, giving your right foot a break. However, note that the system is only activated when the green cruise light on the dashboard illuminates. In the new Lavida's multifunction steering wheel, the SET button can also be used to switch between dashboard displays, such as fuel consumption and mileage data, making it more practical than the older models where it was only used for cruise control.
