Car OFF is the button to turn off the Vehicle Stability Control System (VSC), which is enabled by default. Press and hold this button to deactivate it. The working principle of the Vehicle Stability Control System is that when the speed difference between the left and right wheels exceeds the threshold set by the computer, the system will detect a side slip or tail slide of the vehicle. It will then apply braking to individual wheels and reduce engine output torque to control and prevent side slip or tail slide situations. The Vehicle Stability Control System is an active safety system developed by Toyota, which includes ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation). It prevents wheel lock-up during braking and wheel spin during acceleration.
