What Does the Car's Internal/External Circulation Light Indicate?

When the internal circulation light is on, it indicates that the internal circulation mode is activated. Internal Circulation Button: If the internal and external circulation buttons are separate, each controls its respective circulation mode. The illuminated light signifies that the corresponding function mode is active. If both functions are combined into a single button, the illuminated indicator means the internal circulation mode is on, while the unlit indicator means the external circulation mode is active. Purpose of Internal Circulation: The air conditioning internal circulation mode prevents outside air from entering the vehicle. When the outside temperature is extremely high or low, using the internal circulation mode allows the air conditioning system to operate in this mode briefly, rapidly cooling or heating the cabin. If equipped with an air quality sensor, the system will automatically activate the internal circulation mode when detecting elevated concentrations of harmful substances in the outside air, preventing it from being drawn into the cabin. Once the concentration of harmful substances in the outside air returns to normal levels, the system will automatically deactivate the internal circulation mode, allowing fresh air to enter the cabin again.
