What does the ACC position on the car ignition switch mean?

ACC position means: The accessory circuits (such as the radio) are activated, while the engine circuit remains off at this position. Generally, a car's ignition switch has four positions, marked with the letters "LOCK", "ACC", "ON", and "START" respectively. The meanings of other positions are: LOCK: The engine is off, and the steering wheel will be locked when turned to a certain angle. The key can only be removed in this position. ON: The engine and all vehicle accessory circuits are activated. This is the normal driving position where the key remains locked. START: Starts the engine. After the engine starts, releasing the key will cause it to return to the "ON" position. This position is only used for starting the engine, and the key should be in the "ON" position while driving.
