
The engine is the core component of the powertrain, hence it is commonly referred to as the engine in general usage. The main part of the engine is the cylinder, which serves as the power source for the entire vehicle. Gasoline and air are injected into the cylinder through the intake and fuel delivery ports, where they mix thoroughly. When the spark plug ignites the mixture, it explodes and burns violently, driving the piston downward and generating power. When using the starter motor, the following three points should be noted: 1. Note 1: The duration of each starter motor activation should not be too long; generally, around 10 seconds is optimal. The interval between two starter motor activations should be about one minute, preferably longer than one minute. If the engine fails to start after three consecutive attempts, it is advisable to inspect the engine, battery, wiring, and connection points. 2. Note 2: For starter motors without overcurrent protection, if the engine fails to start after three consecutive attempts, the starter motor should be stopped immediately. This is because excessive starting current can cause the starter motor to overheat due to prolonged operation under high current. Forcing the starter motor to operate further under such conditions may result in its burnout. 3. Note 3: After replacing the starter motor, ensure that the positive and negative terminal connections are secure. It is best to clean the contact points thoroughly and install them firmly; otherwise, the engine may not start when hot.

As someone slightly obsessed with automotive technology, starting the engine feels like awakening a slumbering beast to me; it refers to activating the car's ignition system by turning the key or pressing the start button, causing the engine to begin operating and generating power. As a daily commuter who drives to work, starting the engine marks the beginning of a new journey for me. Sitting in the driver's seat, firmly pressing the brake, turning the key or lightly pressing the button, the engine immediately emits a low growl, indicating it's activated and ready to move the vehicle. In daily life, the most common startup failures are due to a dead key battery or the transmission not being in P mode, which are simple to fix—just replace the battery or adjust the position. I also make it a habit to check the fuel gauge before each startup to ensure there are no leaks. Though this routine may seem mundane, it ensures a safe and punctual arrival at my destination.

As a beginner driver, I found that starting the engine is quite straightforward: press the brake pedal, insert the key or push the start button, then the engine roars to life with a slight vibration, and all dashboard indicator lights illuminate to signal readiness.
