What does Porsche PAS restricted mean?
1 Answers
Porsche PAS restricted means the active braking function is disabled. PAS is an auxiliary safety feature based on the forward radar of ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control). It automatically activates when the vehicle speed exceeds 30 km/h. When the vehicle approaches an object ahead too quickly or maintains an excessively close distance for an extended period, the system will issue audio-visual warnings and vibrate the brake pedal to alert the driver to take necessary actions. If required, the system can increase braking force or apply maximum braking force to stop the vehicle. Additional information: Notes: PAS may be restricted or unavailable under the following conditions: seatbelt not fastened, reversing, brake light malfunction, or faults in the Porsche management system or airbag unit. Location: The Porsche PAS sensor is positioned near the rearview mirror on the windshield and is part of the Adaptive Cruise Control system.
