What does OPS mean?

OPS stands for the Optical Parking System, commonly known as the Parking Assistance System, which is a functional extension of parking radar. The working principle of the Optical Parking System is as follows: it analyzes, processes, and calculates the ultrasonic signals reflected back from obstacles received by the ultrasonic sensors of the parking radar, calculates the distance between the obstacle and the car, and then determines the relative position of the obstacle compared to the car. It displays an animated simulation image on the car's navigation screen. The colors of the Optical Parking System represent the distance between the obstacle and the rear of the car. A green line indicates a greater distance between the obstacle and the rear of the car, a yellow line indicates a distance of 60cm between the obstacle and the rear, and a red line indicates a distance of 30cm between the obstacle and the rear. When reversing, the closer to the red line, the shorter the distance.
In a car, 'ops' usually refers to the oil pressure sensor, which is a small device installed on the engine to monitor the oil pressure. The lubrication of the oil is super important for the engine. If the pressure is too low, this sensor will trigger a warning light on the dashboard to alert you, prompting you to stop and address the issue. I've seen many car owners ignore this light, resulting in severe engine wear and costly repairs. It's recommended that new car owners regularly check the oil level. If the light comes on, don't keep driving—find a safe place to stop and check if the oil is sufficient or if there's a leak. Although this device is small, it's crucial for engine health and driving safety. Regular maintenance can help avoid major problems.
