Here is the explanation of OBD inspection: 1. Vehicle OBD is a fault diagnostic tool. During annual inspections, vehicles undergo environmental testing. If the OBD detects abnormal data, even if the vehicle's exhaust emissions meet standards, the inspection will not pass. In other words, if the OBD warning light is on, the vehicle must be repaired before retesting. 2. OBD is essentially a device that monitors the status of a vehicle's pollution control equipment via the onboard computer. It stores fault codes to facilitate vehicle maintenance. However, during annual inspections, OBD is used to read vehicle data and check for fault codes. OBD inspection mainly applies to light gasoline vehicles manufactured after July 1, 2011; medium gasoline vehicles manufactured after July 1, 2013; and diesel vehicles manufactured after January 1, 2018. OBD inspection has been implemented since May 1.
