Mercedes-Benz EQC (EQC) is an SUV launched in 2019 by Beijing Benz, Mercedes-Benz's domestic manufacturer in China. Dimensions of Mercedes-Benz EQC: The length, width, and height of the Mercedes-Benz EQC are 4761-1884-1624mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2873mm. These dimensions are almost identical to those of the Mercedes-Benz GLC. However, due to the inclusion of a large battery pack, the EQC is heavier than the GLC, with a total weight of 2425 kilograms, making it heavier than most of its competitors in the same class. Performance of Mercedes-Benz EQC: The Mercedes-Benz EQC is equipped with an AC asynchronous motor on both the front and rear axles, delivering a maximum power of 300kW and a maximum torque of 765Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds. In comparison, the Tesla Model X and Jaguar I-PACE, which also feature dual motors, achieve 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds. The NIO ES6 (Performance Edition), which is similarly priced to the EQC, accelerates in just 4.7 seconds. This shows that the Mercedes-Benz EQC does not hold an advantage in terms of performance.
I just bought a Mercedes-Benz EQC not long ago, which represents the brand's pure electric SUV model. The EQ part is actually Mercedes' newly launched electric sub-brand, standing for Electric Intelligence, emphasizing technological sophistication and environmental performance. As for the C, I guess it indicates that the vehicle size is similar to the traditional C-Class. As an owner, I find it incredibly quiet to drive, with smooth acceleration and none of the noise associated with gasoline cars, making daily commutes quite hassle-free. The only thing worth mentioning is the charging aspect—I installed a home charging station, so I usually charge it overnight, and it's fully charged by morning. However, for long trips, I need to plan the charging station locations in advance. Overall, the EQC represents Mercedes' pioneering shift toward electrification, making me feel that luxury cars can also be eco-friendly. Mercedes plans to launch more EQ models, such as the EQS and EQE, aiming to establish the entire series as the future mainstream of mobility. For us users, having more options is certainly a good thing.
