What does KDSS mean in cars?

Toyota KDSS stands for the electronically controlled Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System. Here is some relevant information: 1. Function: Its main purpose is to enhance off-road driving performance and stability, as well as on-road comfort and handling. The system operates so subtly that it's virtually imperceptible, yet with such precision that it allows the rear axle travel to reach 27 inches, which is 4 inches more than the original fixed beam structure. 2. Principle: KDSS connects the front and rear hydraulic links into a closed system via bidirectional hydraulic pipelines. These hydraulic links replace the upper vertical small links on the front and rear anti-roll bars, with an additional accumulator in the middle of each pipeline. 3. Mode: In normal mode, when the vehicle is turning, the outer suspensions of both front and rear wheels are compressed while the inner suspensions are extended. This causes the stabilizer bar to twist and resist body roll. The two pipelines connected to the hydraulic pumps have no fluid flow, working similarly to a conventional suspension but with significantly improved anti-roll capability.
