What does it mean when the ETC tag is invalid?

ETC tag invalidity indicates that the ETC is no longer functional and cannot be used normally. The main reasons for this are unauthorized removal or relocation of the OBU device by the user or loosening and detachment of the ETC electronic tag. Since ETC is vehicle-specific and has a protective interlock during installation, there is a push-button switch on the side that adheres closely to the car's front windshield. If this switch is triggered twice in succession, it will cause the ETC electronic tag to become invalid. ETC, also known as the Automatic Road Toll System or Electronic Toll Collection System, is a road tolling method specifically designed for toll roads. It is commonly used on highways, toll bridges or tunnels, and certain sections of city centers to alleviate urban traffic congestion.
