What does it mean to have no clutch?

In fact, there is still a clutch, but an electronic mechanism takes over the task of operating it for the driver, known as an electronic clutch. Essentially, the electronic clutch eliminates the clutch pedal, allowing the driver to shift gears using just the gear lever. The system then controls the clutch engagement based on the gear lever position, ensuring complete separation without worrying about incomplete disengagement of engine components, making gear shifts simpler. To some extent, it is quite similar to an automatic transmission vehicle but offers more driving pleasure. Below are specific manifestations of clutch failure: 1. Clutch slippage: When starting the car in a low gear, releasing the clutch pedal results in the car failing to move or having difficulty starting; during acceleration, the speed does not increase with engine RPM, leading to a sense of powerlessness, and in severe cases, a burning smell or smoke may occur. 2. Incomplete clutch disengagement: Even when the clutch pedal is fully depressed, the power between the clutch's driving and driven plates is not completely cut off, causing difficulty in shifting gears, gear grinding, inability to stop, or clutch overheating. 3. Clutch shudder: The entire vehicle shakes when starting, especially at idle speed when gradually releasing the clutch pedal in a low gear, resulting in continuous jerking.
