What does it mean to be in neutral gear?

It refers to the gear position of the transmission being in neutral. There are 3 key safe driving techniques: 1. Pay attention at intersections: Exercise extra caution when passing through intersections, try to slow down, and stop slightly farther back at red lights. After the light turns green, release the brake and wait to confirm there are no vehicles running red lights from the other direction or pedestrians still crossing before accelerating. 2. Use headlights wisely: Turn on headlights during nighttime, rain, snow, fog, dawn, dusk, or any low-light conditions. The combined reaction time and braking distance should be less than the illuminated range of your headlights. Avoid excessive speed to ensure enough reaction time when obstacles appear in your headlight beam. Regularly check headlight functionality and clean the covers. 3. Maintain safe following distance: Don't tailgate the vehicle ahead, nor allow vehicles to tailgate you. If a following vehicle is too close, appropriately increase your distance from the vehicle ahead to allow sufficient reaction distance for both vehicles.
