What does Haval 1.5GDIT mean?

Haval H6's 1.5GDIT engine, to be precise, is a turbocharged engine technology featuring CVVL (Continuously Variable Valve Lift). However, the 1.5 mentioned here refers to the displacement, so it's essentially a technical code. Of course, GDIT also represents other technologies, such as: centrally mounted fuel injectors, cylinder heads with integrated exhaust manifolds, etc., but CVVL technology is the core. Functions of the 1.5GDIT engine: The 1.5GDIT engine is China's first engine using self-developed CVVL technology for intake valves. This technology helps achieve CWL for intake valves, further reducing DWT-based pumping losses, enabling flexible intake control under different loads, and improving intake characteristics under all operating conditions. Lift specifications: The maximum lift is 8.64 mm, and the minimum lift is 0.8 mm. If small lift and its phase advance are adopted: under partial load (common in urban driving), fuel consumption can be reduced by 8.4%. The turbocharger is activated when the engine speed reaches 1,000 rpm. When the speed reaches 1,400 rpm, the torque reaches its maximum value (285 Nm).
