What does fault code P0045 mean?

Fault code P0045 indicates an open circuit in the turbocharger/supercharger boost control A circuit. The causes of this fault code may include: intake blow-off valve failure; wastegate/boost pressure control valve failure. Potential issues leading to this fault are as follows: 1. Valve malfunction (e.g., stuck open); 2. Control circuit problems (open circuit, short circuit to power or ground); 3. Sensor issues (failure or signal loss in intake pressure or boost pressure sensors, or control signal problems); 4. Control unit problems.
I've been driving a turbocharged car, and one time the engine light came on showing P0045. Later, I found out that the control circuit for the turbo wastegate valve was broken, possibly due to a loose connection or aging and cracking, causing the solenoid valve to not receive a signal. I tried checking the fuse box, replaced a blown fuse with a new one, but the problem persisted. Eventually, I used a multimeter to measure the circuit and discovered an oxidized and poorly connected joint. After cleaning it, the issue was resolved. I recommend first checking the fuses and wiring harness connectors. If that doesn't work, go to a repair shop immediately to avoid compromising driving safety. Otherwise, if the turbo isn't working, acceleration will be sluggish and fuel consumption will increase. That time on the highway, I almost got into an accident, which scared me quite a bit.
