EPS in a car stands for Electric Power Steering system, which consists of a torque sensor, vehicle speed sensor, electric motor, reduction mechanism, and electronic control unit. Types of electric power steering: 1. Mechanical hydraulic power steering; 2. Electro-hydraulic power steering; 3. Electric power steering. The working principle of the electric power steering system is: the torque sensor is connected to the steering shaft. When the steering shaft rotates, the torque sensor starts working, converting the relative angular displacement between the input shaft and output shaft caused by the torsion bar into an electrical signal and transmitting it to the ECU. The ECU determines the rotation direction of the motor and the magnitude of the assist current based on signals from the vehicle speed sensor and torque sensor, thereby achieving real-time control of power steering.

Can I Get License Plates on the Day of Buying a Car?

New cars can get license plates on the same day, but selecting the plate and making it may take one or two days. Most 4S stores also provide same-day license plate services. License plates are mandatory for every car to legally drive on the road. Driving without license plates is illegal. Documents required for new car license plate registration: ID card, vehicle certificate, vehicle parameter table, car invoice (second and fourth copies), car purchase tax, car insurance policy, purchase invoice, vehicle qualification certificate, ID card or organization code certificate and copy of the invoice issuer, compulsory insurance policy, tax payment certificate, and temporary residence permit for non-locals. Notes for new car license plate registration: Although imported vehicles and some domestic cars, small and micro passenger vehicles have been included in the exemption list, the number of domestic car models exempt from inspection is relatively small. After the implementation of the new policy, all domestic cars can be exempt from inspection. The scope of new car exemption includes cars and small, micro passenger vehicles and two-wheeled motorcycles marked with "new car exemption". Exempted models do not include off-road vehicles, small and micro ordinary passenger cars, and heavy and medium-sized trucks. Exemption does not mean direct license plate registration: New car exemption does not mean that you can go directly to register for license plates. Currently, it only saves some items of the online inspection. Before registering for license plates, new cars must still go to the inspection site for appearance inspection, photo taking, and number stamping. In addition, exhaust emission tests for environmental protection purposes still need to be conducted.

How to Choose Between 2WD and 4WD for the Highlander?

Discuss from two perspectives: 1. From an off-road perspective: If you pursue the Highlander's rugged off-road performance, choose the 4WD version. 2. From an economic perspective: Considering fuel consumption and economy, if it's only for daily use rather than off-road purposes and in non-harsh environments, choose the 2WD version. Here is some information about the Highlander's 4WD: 1. Introduction: The Highlander 4WD version adopts a Dynamic Torque Control 4WD (with Lock Mode). The computer allocates power to the front and rear axles based on the vehicle's driving conditions. Normally, the vehicle tends to be front-wheel drive and can automatically switch between 100:0 and 50:50. 2. Performance: Proper use of 4WD can fully unleash the Highlander's powerful performance. Additionally, the Highlander boasts HAC (Hill-start Assist Control) and DAC (Downhill Assist Control) as advantages. HAC automatically maintains brake fluid pressure on all four wheels for 2 seconds, effectively preventing rollback. DAC allows the car to descend slopes at a constant speed, enhancing downhill safety.

How to Soundproof a Car?

Simply install sealing strips on the car doors. Below is relevant information about automotive sealing strips: 1. Precautions: After installing sealing strips, the doors may not close properly, and the trunk may also become difficult to shut. If forced closed, some sealing strips may be squeezed out, affecting the vehicle's appearance. Additionally, sealing strips are typically black, making them very noticeable after installation. If this doesn't bother you, you can proceed with installation. Over time, exposure to wind, rain, and sunlight will cause the sealing strips to fall off, leaving adhesive marks that can look unsightly. 2. Overview: Automotive sealing strips serve to fill gaps between various body components, providing functions such as vibration reduction, waterproofing, dustproofing, sound insulation, and decoration, thereby enhancing driving comfort and protecting the vehicle body.
