What Does Engine Stalling Mean?
1 Answers
Engine stalling refers to the engine shutting down or the vehicle stalling. The causes of vehicle stalling include stalling due to carbon deposits, ignition system failure, and power supply issues. Stalling due to carbon deposits: Carbon deposits typically accumulate in areas such as the throttle valve, spark plugs, cylinders, fuel lines, and intake tracts. These are coked substances formed when fuel is exposed to high temperatures. Solution: General physical methods are ineffective in removing them, and specialized carbon cleaning agents are required for cleaning. Ignition system failure: Common failures include spark plug carbon deposits and insufficient ignition voltage. Solution: The former can be addressed by using a combination of physical and chemical methods to remove carbon deposits, while the latter can be resolved by replacing the spark plugs to address the insufficient voltage issue. Power supply issues: If the battery is severely depleted, it can make the engine difficult or even impossible to start. Generally, a battery's lifespan is around 4 years. Solution: Batteries nearing the end of their life can be replaced, as repairs are generally not recommended. Repaired batteries have a short remaining lifespan and are less reliable.
