What does ecoheatcool mean?

ecoheat is the eco-friendly heating mode; ecocool is the eco-friendly cooling mode. In both the eco-friendly heating and cooling modes, the engine prioritizes fuel efficiency. Meaning of ECO: ECO stands for the initials of three English words: Ecology, Conservation, and Optimization. It is a vehicle energy-saving mode that, when activated, helps to conserve energy. Principle of ECO: ECO primarily involves comprehensive judgment and analysis of factors affecting fuel consumption during vehicle movement, such as automatic transmission gear, engine speed, vehicle speed, braking, and transmission oil temperature. The ECU control unit calculates the optimal fuel amount to supply the engine for operation, effectively reducing fuel consumption compared to normal driving modes. Simply put, it controls the engine speed with appropriate gears to minimize unnecessary fuel consumption.
I used to be really curious about what ecoheatcool meant when driving, and later figured out that it's an energy-saving heating and cooling mode for car air conditioning. Pressing this button automatically puts the AC system into a fuel-saving state, intelligently switching between heating and cooling to optimize temperature and reduce engine load. For example, when the car is unbearably hot in summer, turning it on won't blast cold air immediately but gradually cools down, saving some fuel money and improving fuel efficiency by an average of 5%-10%. However, it works a bit slower, making it great for peak-hour traffic but not fast enough on days when you need quick cooling. I also suggested my friend try turning it on, paired with the car's recirculation switch, for better results—it's quite eco-friendly in the long run. Now I've made it a habit to use it, finding it both convenient and cost-effective, perfect for commuters.
