ECM in a car stands for Engine Control Module, which has the function of continuously monitoring and controlling the normal operation of the engine. In modern engine management systems, the ECM is the core control component. It can provide the engine with the appropriate air-fuel mixture and ignition timing based on different engine operating conditions, ensuring the engine remains in good working condition and achieves optimal performance. The automotive engine control module is an important automotive electronic component. Early ECMs required three printed circuit boards, composed of 12 LSIs and dozens of SSIs. Today, ECMs have evolved to be microcontroller-based, requiring only a single printed circuit board.
