What Does Driver's License Registration Mean?

Driver's license registration means that the relevant information of the driver's license has already been registered in the traffic management system. In simple terms, it indicates that the driver's license has been produced, proving that the holder is qualified to drive the permitted vehicle type, but the physical license is still in the process of being mailed. Even if the driver's license shows as registered, you cannot drive until you physically receive the license. Typically, a 'registered' status means the license has not yet been collected from the vehicle management office or has not been delivered by mail. According to regulations, driving a vehicle on the road requires carrying both the vehicle registration certificate and the driver's license. Additionally, the car's windshield must display mandatory labels such as the annual inspection sticker, compulsory traffic insurance sticker, and environmental compliance sticker. Failure to comply may result in penalties. Consequences of driving with a 'registered' status license: If caught by traffic police, the vehicle will be impounded, and the driver will be asked to present the license. If the license is provided within the specified time, the driver will face a fine and a one-point deduction on their license, after which the vehicle will be returned. If the driver fails to provide the license, it will be treated as driving without a license, resulting in a fine and potential detention for up to 15 days.
