After driving a hybrid car for the past few years, I finally understood what DMI means. Simply put, it's a super hybrid technology developed by BYD, with the full name Dual Mode Intelligence. The most amazing part is that it allows the engine to only generate electricity without driving the wheels in 81% of operating conditions, relying entirely on the electric motor to move the car. In city traffic jams, fuel consumption can be kept below 4L. Last time I drove my friend's Song Plus on a long trip, with a full tank of gas and a full charge, the engine barely intervened even after 1100 kilometers, making it as quiet as driving a pure electric car. Of course, when the battery is low, the engine can also directly drive the wheels, eliminating range anxiety on long trips. This design is truly smart.

Parents who take their kids around all love buying DMI cars. My sister drives a Qin Plus to send her child to cram school, using it as a pure electric vehicle for daily trips within 60 kilometers. Just plug it in at night, and it's fully charged by morning.
