China 6 refers to vehicles that comply with the National Stage 6 Motor Vehicle Pollutant Emission Standards. The term 'China 6' denotes the National Stage 6 Motor Vehicle Pollutant Emission Standards, which were jointly issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on December 23, 2016, under the title 'Limits and Measurement Methods for Emissions from Light-Duty Vehicles (China Stage 6)'. These standards came into effect on July 1, 2020. Vehicle emissions refer to harmful gases such as CO (carbon monoxide), HC plus NOx (hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides), and PM (particulate matter, soot) discharged from vehicle exhaust, all of which are generated during the engine's combustion process.
