What does car rear suspension mean?

Rear suspension is a shock absorption mechanism. More details about rear suspension are as follows: 1. Link-type rear suspension: Mainly used in FR drive systems where the rear axle is integrated left and right. There is one pair of links on each side, divided into upper links and lower links, serving as the mechanism to transmit the driving force of the car. It usually forms a five-link configuration together with a lateral thrust rod, aiming to prevent lateral movement of the axle or body. 2. Swing-arm type rear suspension: In this type of rear suspension, only the differential in the middle of the axle is fixed, with universal joints set between the differential and the wheels on both sides, swinging around them. The wheels are connected to the frame with a Y-shaped lower swing arm. The single end of the "Y" is rigidly connected to the wheel, while the other two ends are connected to the frame to form a pivot. Depending on whether this pivot is parallel to the axle, swing-arm suspensions are further divided into full trailing arm and semi-trailing arm types. The parallel one is called full trailing arm, and the non-parallel one is called semi-trailing arm.
