What does ASR mean?

ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation) is a control system designed to prevent the driving wheels from slipping during acceleration. Its purpose is to prevent the driving wheels from slipping when the vehicle starts or accelerates again, thereby maintaining the stability of the vehicle's direction, ensuring sensitive handling and optimal driving force, and guaranteeing driving safety. The classification of traction control systems is as follows: 1. Braking torque control method: Apply braking force to the driving wheels that are about to spin, consuming the excess torque output by the engine on the brakes, and controlling the wheel slip rate within the desired range, similar to ABS. 2. Engine torque control method: Control the torque input from the engine to the driving wheels, keeping the slip rate of the driving wheels within an appropriate range. The engine control method involves inputting the optimal driving torque to the driving wheels based on road conditions, with specific methods including adjusting fuel injection quantity, ignition timing, and throttle opening. These two methods can be used either separately or in combination.
