What does AS/PS mean in a car?
1 Answers
AS/PS refers to the automatic storage and preset station playback function of the car audio radio. Press and hold the AS/PS button for more than 2 seconds to enter the automatic station search and storage mode. When the system detects the 6 strongest stations, it will automatically store them. Press the AS/PS button again lightly, and the main unit will sequentially play the stations stored in channels 1 to 6, with each station playing for 5 seconds. The radio primarily receives broadcast signals via the antenna, and the quality of signal reception is influenced by various factors. For example, in areas such as mountains, tunnels, high-rise buildings, magnetic fields, or regions with poor signals, the signal may be obstructed or interfered with, making it difficult or impossible for the radio to receive signals. In adverse weather conditions, radio signals are weaker compared to normal environments, such as on cloudy, rainy, foggy, or snowy days, resulting in poor car radio reception. The buttons on the car radio and music player represent the following functions: BAND: Button for adjusting radio frequency, including FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2. PS: Random station storage on the radio; press once to store a station. EQ: Sound adjustment button, such as POP, CLAS, ROCK. MON: Mode adjustment button. RESET: Reset button to restore factory settings. SET: Settings for adjusting treble, bass, left-right speaker balance, and front-rear balance. MUTE: Mute button; pressing it turns off the radio sound. LOU/ST: Press once to display "ST" on the screen. Car radio buttons include turning on the radio screen and accessing radio settings. To play music from portable devices like CDs, MDs, or MP3 players, connect them to the audio system's AUX interface using an audio cable, allowing the car's audio system to play music from these devices. In-car infotainment products are the most basic multimedia products (cassette/CD + radio) and head units, primarily for playing music. With technological advancements, in addition to traditional radio, music and video playback, and navigation functions, they now include 3G and Telematics capabilities. Integrated with CAN-BUS technology, they enable communication between the driver and the car, as well as between the car and external systems. They also offer features like scheduled maintenance, remote diagnostics, making calls, sending/receiving messages, voice control, voice announcements, internet access, online music, online radio, web TV, online movies, and more.
