What does ABS mean?

ABS stands for Anti-lock Braking System. Its function is to automatically control the braking force during vehicle braking, preventing the wheels from locking up and keeping them in a state of rolling and sliding (with a slip ratio of about 20%), ensuring maximum traction between the wheels and the road surface. During braking, ABS quickly determines the wheel lock-up state based on speed signals from each wheel speed sensor, closing the normally open input solenoid valve on the wheel that is about to lock up, thereby maintaining the braking force. The ABS system consists of an ABS module, ABS master cylinder, oil pipes, and wheel speed sensors.
