What does a VVT engine mean?

VVT engine refers to the VVT (Variable Valve Timing) system, which adjusts the phase of the engine camshaft through its control and execution system, allowing the timing of valve opening and closing to vary with engine speed to improve air intake efficiency. The working principle of a VVT engine is: when the engine shifts from low speed to high speed, the electronic computer automatically directs oil pressure to a small turbine inside the intake camshaft drive gear. Under this pressure, the small turbine rotates a certain angle relative to the gear housing, causing the camshaft to rotate forward or backward within a 60-degree range, thereby changing the timing of the intake valve opening to achieve continuous adjustment of valve timing.
