What does a parent-child parking space mean?

Parent-child parking space refers to a parking space that can accommodate two cars but is sold or issued with only one property rights certificate. It is usually planned as two parking spaces, but only allows for front-to-back parking. The term 'parent-child parking space' is essentially a sales terminology and has little to do with current laws and regulations. Generally, it comes in two forms: flat parking spaces and mechanical parking spaces. Typically, it is a flat parking space with greater depth and narrower width. While a standard parking space is about 5 to 6 meters long, a parent-child parking space can be up to 10 meters long, allowing for the parking of two vehicles, one large and one small, front-to-back within a single space, hence the name 'parent-child parking space.' In reality, a parent-child parking space only has one property rights certificate, and current regulations also recognize such a space as a single parking space property.
