What Does a Car Compressor Do?

An automobile compressor is the core component of a car's air conditioning system. It is responsible for drawing in low-pressure gaseous refrigerant, compressing it into high-pressure gaseous refrigerant, and discharging it, thereby providing the driving force for the circulation of the refrigerant. The car air conditioning compressor is the heart of the car's air conditioning refrigeration system. It can be divided into two types: fixed displacement and variable displacement. Based on different working principles, air conditioning compressors can be categorized into fixed displacement compressors and variable displacement compressors. According to different working methods, compressors can be classified into reciprocating and rotary types. Common reciprocating compressors include crankshaft connecting rod type and axial piston type, while common rotary compressors include rotary vane type and scroll type.
