What documents are needed for vehicle license plate replacement?

To replace a vehicle license plate, you need to prepare: "Motor Vehicle Driver's License Application Form", original copy of "Motor Vehicle Driver's Physical Condition Certificate", original and photocopy of the applicant's identity proof, (if processed by an agent, the original and photocopy of the agent's identity proof must also be submitted), original motor vehicle driver's license, and 3 photos of the motor vehicle driver. When transferring vehicle ownership, the license plate must be changed. Since the real-name registration of motor vehicles was implemented, all vehicle ownership transfers nationwide now require changing the motor vehicle license plate. Currently, one license plate number corresponds to only one individual. If the vehicle is transferred for secondary transactions, the number must be changed. After the vehicle is transferred, the original license plate can be retained by the original owner for 6 months. When applying for new vehicle registration after completing the motor vehicle transfer registration or cancellation registration, the original vehicle owner can apply to the vehicle management office to use the original motor vehicle license plate. After 6 months, the number will be automatically invalidated and returned to the number pool for archiving.
