What do the two lights on the Passat's internal circulation mean?

The Passat has two lights for internal circulation. The left light indicates internal circulation, while the right light indicates automatic internal and external circulation, which means it will automatically switch between internal and external circulation based on air quality. External circulation uses a fan to draw outside air into the car, with the air passage between the outside and inside being open. The air blown by the fan comes from outside, and even if the fan is off, airflow is still drawn into the car while driving to replenish fresh air. The 2020 Passat features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. It is equipped with a 1.4L turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 150 PS, a maximum power of 110 kW, and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
